Avalanches!

hello guys this week we had to choose something to do for inquiry i choose avalanches.  Hope you like it see if there is anything wrong.

Avalanches

Did you know that avalanches can kill over 150 people, normally around Europe and

North America! I know right, crazy, read my report to find out more things about avalanches.
Types of avalanches?
There are mainly two types of avalanches one is sluffs this is where
The thin layer of snow falls down. The second is called slabs. This one where there is

a weak bit of snow and then the rest of the snow falls, it is kind of like dominoes.
How do avalanches occur?
Most avalanches occur because of storms or change in the snow.

This is where the sun melts the snow. They can also occur by rain, earthquakes, rockfall and ice fall.
Fun facts!
Loud noises rarely cause avalanches. The avalanches are mostly caused on 30 to 45 degree angle snow mountains.

Avalanches are faster than a car. Did you know that an avalanche can knock down trees and huge rocks!

Conclusion
So altogether we know that an avalanche is a pile of snow that moves down to the bottom and about the different types of avalanches,

how avalanches occur and some fun facts about avalanches. Here are some photos of avalanches!

Anne Frank reading!

 Hello readers,

WALT: locate and summarise important information from a range of related texts.

This week for reading we are doing the same thing as last week but a different book, the book i was reading is called Anne Frank, the story is about Anne Frank life and how she was Jewish. she was hiding in a secret annex away from the Nazis, she soon found a diary and named it kitty. The Nazis soon found her and 3 other families, Then the Nazis took her to Auschwitz-Birkenau, a concentration camp. A concentration camp is a camp where the Nazis held Jews and others. Many people were killed or died there.  Anne soon died of a disease called typhus. I found this book really interesting, and sad because she died at the age of 16. What i found difficult is coming up with my own inspirational message. I learnt who Anne Frank is and how she became inspirational. These create task are really cool too. i give this weeks book a 10/10.

# create task 1, what i had to do for this one is i had to type down what happened in the main story, complementary and challenging text.

# create task 2, what we had to do is create a mini biography file and present how that person was inspirational.  Here it is!

# Create task  3, what we had to do for this one is write down what your definition for inspiration is. Next was you had to create a inspirational poster but come up with your own message.

Private or personal information

 Kia ora,

Today for cybersmart we learnt about what we can and cant post online, and how to keep yourself safe.  I found this activity really good to recap over how to keep safe online. I rate this activity a 4/5 ☆☆☆☆ for information and a 5/5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for enjoyment. What else do you think we should keep private?

And here is another task i got time to do!
