The deep dark hole 22.10.21

 Hey readers,

This week i have been working on a story from pobble 369. Here it is!

My turtle stopped suddenly, but I kept going. Then the ground below me started to shake.

“Ahh!” I was falling. A hint of the smell of damp books hit my nose, combined with infuriating scents.

It was pitch black until this sparkly light shone through the darkness. I could hear the fluttering of books as

I kept on falling. I tried to hold on to the oak brown pieces of wood surrounding the library.

The wood broke and I was still falling. As I was falling I could feel the crumbles from books fall on me,

making my skin feel like an old lady. Finally I slowed down and got a hold of a strong piece of wood.

I looked around and all the ancient books surrounded me. One of the books caught my attention as I

recognised the title. It was about Ihaka who wrote a diary about his journey with his Iwi,

Ngati kahungunu. I was so curious so I reached out to grab it but a gust of wind took over.

I lost hold of the piece of wood and started stumbling down again.

I opened up my mouth to scream but stale air filled my lungs. Rocks were caving in.

I started to get a bit claustrophobic. As I kept falling I could smell the wood rotting. Ew. I looked up.

The hole I had fallen into was getting smaller and smaller. A gust of wind was making my eyes blurry

and I closed my eyes. I was getting goosebumps from the cold air. There was a sudden change in the

wind. A few hours passed and I could smell my armpits getting sweatier and sweatier.

My journey carried on.
